2023 Winners!
Broadway World’s Regional Theatre Awards recently announced their winners including Kellie-Anne winning Best Musical Director and Orchestra Performance for Tick Tick BOOM! along with Benjamin Maio Mackay and Nina Richards winning Best Direction AND winning Best production! Congratulations to all winners across the state!
National Tour of The Distraction
As of 2023 Kellie-Anne is on tour with The Umbilical Brothers with their award winning show The Distraction. Touring through regional New South Wales and other states later in the year, Kellie-Anne is the sound and lighting technician while working on this production. The Boomkak Panto by Virginia Gay
The immersive comedy pantomime, The Boomkak Panto is showing at Belvoir St Theatre from November 20th to December 23rd 2021. Written by the effervescent Virginia Gay, composition by Eddie Perfect and Music Directed by Zara Stanton. An absolute joy and honour to be working with such an incredible team this is one “Enchanting” production not to be missed!
Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2021
This year, Kellie-Anne designed for three shows and was a regular venue technician throughout the festival. She was involved as sound designer on Live, Laugh, Lauren, an additional season of Dazza And Keif Go Viral In Space With Ya Mum, and also designed for the comedy duo under the new name, Hot Department’s Open For Business. With an almost sold out season for all three productions, we are incredibly grateful for the amazing successes and look forward to bringing Open For Business to other locations throughout the year.
37th Annual Green Room Nominations and wins!
Kellie-anne was nominated for Music Composition and Sound Design for the 2019 production of Batmania, Elliott Gee was nominated for Best Performer for Batmania. Other productions that Kellie-anne worked on in 2019 are also nominated including Poopie Tum Tums for Best Production, Best Writing and won Best Ensemble for Cabaret. The Women’s Circus production for The Drill was also nominated for Contemporary and Experimental Performance for Circus. Congratulations to all nominees and winners for the 37th Annual Green Room Awards!
The Women’s Circus presents ‘The Drill’
An immersive, interactive circus performance presented by The Women’s Circus, up to 8 rooms of performances all relating to women and their experiences during WW1. Kellie-anne is the Sound Designer of this immersive performance as part of Due West Festival 2019. The Women’s Circus is an inclusive circus and includes all persons who identify as female or has experienced life as a female.
Melbourne Fringe Festival 2019
Kellie-anne is pleased to announce that she will be Sound Designing for the upcoming Productions of Batmania by The Very Good Looking Initiative and Dazza And Keif Go Viral In Space With Ya Mum at the 2019 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019
Kellie-anne has a busy month ahead, operating for the production of Double Denim: Adventure Show for the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This is every Contiki Tour that has ever gone wrong. Jumanji meets Absolutely Fabulous. No map, no shame, a little bit of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Performed at 8:40pm at Underbelly Cowgate from 1st-25th. She will also be operating for Princess Party (10:30pm) and Late’N’Live (1am) at Guilded Balloon Teviot.
Besen Family Artist Program announced
The recipients for the Besen Family Artist Program for 2019 have been announced. Kellie-anne is proud to announce that she has been selected for Sound Design. She will be shadowing Malthouse’s production of Cloudstreet.
Women In Theatre Program announced
Kellie-anne has been selected as one of 14 women, one from each field, to partake in the 2017 Women In Theatre Program with Melbourne Theatre Company. She has been selected as the Sound Designer/Composer for the program.
